Who can still use Red Diesel and other rebated fuel after the 31st March 2022?
As of the 1st of April 2022, the UK government has removed the entitlement to use rebated fuels, including red diesel for many sectors. This means that many businesses will now have to use fuel that is taxed at the standard rate for white diesel. The change in legislation is to encourage users to switch to more sustainable fuels.
What can I do if I can no longer use Red Diesel?
If you can no longer use red diesel, you must switch to white diesel (DERV) or Biofuels such as HVO Fuel where full excise duty is paid. For clarification on the new rules, please call us on 01257 262485 to speak to us.
