What Is AdBlue?
AdBlue® is a diesel exhaust fluid used in modern diesel cars, vans, HGVs and commercial vehicles with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems. Made from purified urea and deionised water, AdBlue® is stored in a separate tank and injected into the exhaust system to help reduce harmful NOx emissions.
Also known as diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), AdBlue® is essential for the correct operation of many Euro 6 diesel vehicles and helps vehicles meet emissions standards.
